Indian courts are currently hearing numerous public interest litigations (PILs) to safeguard the rights of various rights and. They range from children’s abuse redress to the protection of women’s rights, preservation of cultural heritage conservation, ecological balance maintenance and more.

Recently, this year, the Supreme Court has been hearing various PILs. (PILs). One of the cases was brought by a young man from the West Godavari district who challenged the movie ‘RRR’ due to their distortion of Freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Komaram Bheem and Raju’s lives in their roles as British policemen. To prevent its release, they’ve requested the court to refuse the censorship certification issued by Censor Board and hold off the screening of the film until the next time.

On February 17, 2021, Lyca Productions acquired Tamil Nadu theatrical rights for RRR while Pen Studios took over North Indian rights. The film will release on July 30 2020.
