In a shooting incident on Saturday night at an intersection in Baltimore, four people, including two children, were injured and a man was killed. According to information from the breaking news network, the incident was reported after 6:30 p.m. in a Baltimore neighborhood.
According to Michael Harrison, the police commissioner, a man, who lost his life, was on the sidewalk at that time. A second man on the sidewalk also received a non-fatal wound from the gunshot. A woman crashed her car into a pole after she received the shots. At the time of the incident, she was driving a vehicle with two children, ages 2 and 6. The two-year-old was also injured in the shooting incident.
A 2-year old and woman hospitalized in critical condition
The police chief said both the woman and her 2-year-old child are admitted to a hospital in critical condition. It is also reported that the 6-year-old was also critically hurt in the car crash but did not receive any gunshots.
It is not clear who the suspects targeted or how many of them were involved in the shooting incident. The police have not arrested anyone so far in this incident. According to Harrison’s knowledge, multiple gunmen or a single man opened fire at the Baltimore intersection at that time. It is not clear whether the attackers targeted the woman and children in the car or those standing on the sidewalk.
The police chief said the investigation has begun to gather information from the witnesses because so many people were present in that area at the time of the shooting incident. The police have not revealed the name of the man killed in the shooting incident.
105 occupants are displaced by a fire in a Miami Gardens Apartment
Around 105 people were displaced in a Miami Gardens building because of a three-alarm fire on Saturday. According to the latest BNN world news, all occupants are safe despite the fire raging in the building.
Raied “Ray” Jadallah, the Fire Chief of Miami Dade County, said no injuries have been reported so far despite several people being in the building and the fire spreading quickly with gusting winds. The rescue teams are facing the challenges of dousing the fire in the building.
The firefighting teams arrived at the scene at around 10:30 AM, and the two-story building was enveloped in fire and thick smoke. Jadallah said the raging fire has affected around 75 units, and a partial roof collapse was also noticed in the fire incident on Saturday. It is understood that half of those units were damaged in the fire.
Homeless services and the Red Cross are among the several service organizations that are assisting the affected people at the site. Fire crews are also working relentlessly to prevent the spread of fire by identifying hot spots and controlling them. The cause of the fire in the apartment building has yet to be determined.
