Roblox Deal with Sony will create musical experiences (legal) in the game
ROBLOX rushes to hit the official music offers as a result of a $ 200 million demand on alleged copyright violations. TechCrunch reports that Roblox has presented a team with Sony Music that will bring more of the label artists to the game platform. The two will collaborate in “innovative music experiences” beyond what you have seen so far, including a Lil NAS X concert in November and a Zara Larsson launch party in May.
Companies did not say what kind of events I could expect, or when you can see them. The deal also includes a settlement with Sony.
This is not the first Roblox treatment. The giant giant came to a similar agreement with BMG in June, and Warner before that. However, it represents the largest roblox music pact to date, and leaves universal as the only heavy weight tag that has not signed an agreement.
Roblox might not have a lot of choice, but keep making these arrangements. The musical industry sued ROBLOX for allegedly doing little to prevent players from making virtual boomboxes that transmit music with copyright. That is not including ROBLOXCORE and another music designed for game worlds. The developer holds that music is stopped and cracks in the offenders, but that clearly has not been enough for the stickers convinced that Roblox is allowing piracy. Offers could help ROBLOX persuade Sony, BMG and others to call your demand, or at least soften the blow.
